Cherish every moment. This statement is very simple but is often overlooked. Too often we tend to complain, moan, and whine about every little thing that happens in our lives. Somebody cuts you off in traffic and you start to curse at them or give them the finger. Somebody at work gives you attitude so you decide to return the favor. Why do we do this? There are much bigger issues going on, but still we decide to lose our temper over the smallest inconvenience. I fall victim to this too all of the time, but what can we do to be better and to not fall into the trap of ridiculing others, or even ourselves when something doesn’t go our way? The answer is very simple, we need to cherish every moment. We do not know how much time we have on this earth, why do we spend so much of that time worrying about things that do not matter? Instead we should enjoy every moment that we have while we are here. Appreciate the time we spend with our loved ones, because at the end of the day, when everything is set and done, you will not remember that time you flipped off some guy that cut you off in traffic, but you will remember that trip you took with your family, or all the times you hung out with your friends.

“This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
PSALM 118:24 (ESV)
